• June 2011 – More than 100 Walmart Associates deliver the Declaration of Respect to Walmart in Bentonville, requesting that the company engage with them to change Walmart for the better.
  • March 2012 – OUR Walmart members write to Mr. Walton to request a meeting to discuss their concerns about poverty wages and lack of respect at Walmart.
  • June 2012 — OUR Walmart writes to Mr. Walton, reiterating the request for a meeting and reporting on fallout from the Mexico scandal.  The letter specifically cited problems of illegal retaliation by the company against Walmart associates.
  • June 2013 – Introducing a shareholder resolution at Walmart’s annual meeting, a Bangladeshi worker advocate directly addresses Rob Walton, calling on him to use his position to improve conditions at Bangladeshi garment factories producing apparel for Walmart. She is joined by an OUR Walmart member who speaks of low pay, erratic schedules, and understaffing in U.S. Walmart stores, and the effect those issues have on customer service.
