Nancy Laurie lists herself as a “housewife” in Federal Election Commission filings. The Lauries own the Clayton, MO-based private holding company Linco Bankshares, which lists Nancy Laurie as its President and Founder. As of March 2013, the company claimed total assets of over $658 million.

They operate a number of subsidiaries of Lincoshare, including Providence Bank, which they purchased for $35.7 million in 2007 (named Bank of Lincoln County at the time of acquisition). By 2010 the bank had grown its assets to $150.2 million.

In October 2010, the Lauries purchased Premier Bank in Jefferson City, worth $1.2 billion.[1]

Community connections

  • Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet: In 2002, Laurie founded the New York-based Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, considered one of the best companies in the world. And in 2005 the company purchased two buildings, both located in Chelsea, from renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz, and converted them into studio and performance spaces. Laurie also owns the Columbia Performing Arts Centre in Columbia, MO.
  • Chi Omega sorority: Laurie established the Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega, an organization whose stated mission is to provide professional development and leadership training to members of the Chi Omega women’s sorority, of which Laurie is a member. The organization is headquartered in Memphis, TN.
